바바리안 시리즈에 대해서는 ESB - Bavarian Bock (ESB - 바바리안 복) 을 참조. 바이에른식 라거라는 뜻으로 바이에른식 라거라는 장르는 존재하지 않는다. 굳이 따지자면 바이에른 필스너로 쳐야하나?
색은 약간 진한 고동색이며 거품의 질과 밀도는 괜찮은 수준. 쓴맛은 지배적이지 않고 홉향이 약한데 몰티한 느낌은 비교적 강하게 나타나기 때문에 마시는 맛은 난다.
좀더 상세한 풍미에 대해서는 제조사의 디테일을 참조
These 3kg kits are made with the best quality Australian malts and imported hops. There is nothing else to buy, they include a very high quality yeast for the appropriate style and come with finishing hops to give your beer an authentic finish.
Aroma: Low to medium-low malt aroma, which can be grainy, sweet or corn-like. Hop aroma may range from very low to a medium-low, spicy or floral hop presence. Low levels of yeast character (green apples, DMS, or fruitiness) are optional but acceptable. No diacetyl.

지인으로부터 자가양조한 바바리안 복을 선물받았으므로 리뷰. 자가양조는 양조자의 마음에 따라 얼마든지 맛을 커스텀할수 있으므로 바바리안 복 자체의 맛을 평가한다는 의미는 없고 그냥 기록의 의미로 포스팅.
ESB는 호주에 위치한 맥주 양조에 관한 물품을 공급하는 회사로 바바리안 복은 이 회사에서 만드는 맥주 원액중 한 종류이다.
살찐돼지님에 의하면 바바리아(Bavaria)는 독일 바이에른(Bayern)주의 영어표기로, 바바리안이라고 하면 '바이에른의' 라는 뜻이 된다고 한다.
따라서 바바리안 복이면 바이에른식 복이라는 말인데 사실 복의 장르속에 바바리안 복이라는 장르는 없다. ESB가 바바리안 복의 원액을 제조할때 호주에서 생산된 몰트와 수입 홉을 넣는데 아마 바이에른산 홉을 사용해서 바바리안 복이라고 이름붙인거 아닌가 싶다.
비중계산상으로는 9%가 되게 담갔다고 하는데, 체감으로는 한 8도전후로 나올것 같은 느낌. 강조된 알콜의 느낌이 전체적으로 벨지언 다크 에일처럼 상당히 강렬하게 되어 있다. 홉의 향은 별로 느껴지지 않으며 맥아특유의 단 맛과 고소한 풍미가 압축되어서 쓴맛처럼 느껴지는 효과가 나타나고 있다. 페트를 따면 거품이 충분히 나오는데 정작 맥주 자체는 거품이 없어서 잘 녹아들어가지 않은 모양.

음.. 알콜이 2.8%로 낮은데 맥주로서의 풍미가 거의 없기 때문에 맥주라기보다는 망고맛 탄산음료라는 느낌.
망고맛 탄산음료라고 하면 나쁘진 않다.

알콜 9%의 더블 스타우트. 꽉 차있는 질감에 진한 탄맛과 향이 훌륭하다. 거품은 치밀하며 밀도가 높아 마시는 즐거움이 있다. 잘 만들었음.

브루독 싱글홉 시리즈의 새로운 버전 IPA is Dead 라인업중 뉴질랜드에서 생산된 홉을 사용한 물건. 알콜 6.7%
싱글홉 시리즈는 홉의 특징을 민감하게 느끼게 해주는 장점은 있지만 맥주의 완성도가 홉 자체의 풍미에 대부분을 의존한다는 특징이 있다.

최근 몇달사이에 이상하게 신발의 쿠션력이 줄어들고 충격이 무릎에 그대로 전해지는것 같은 느낌이 들어서 깔창을 교체하기로 했다. 요넥스에 괜찮은 깔창이 없기도 하고 어차피 빅터신발이니 빅터꺼 깔창이 있나해서 찾아봤더니 VT-XD6라는 모델이 있더라.

음.. 맥주를 마시다보면 아무리 잘 만든 맥주라도 나하곤 안맞는게 있고 좀 후지게 만든 맥주라도 나한테 맞는 맥주가 있다. 그렇기 때문에 맥주 리뷰 사이트의 평가는 그냥 참고정도로 생각하면 되는거긴 한데..
신맛이 비교적 강한 이넘은 나하고 안맞는다. 알콜 9%의 감각은 훌륭함. 리뷰 끝.

네덜란드와 벨기에 국경에 인접한 베스트팔렌주에 위치한 마을. 근처에 발슈타인이라는 삼림에서 나오는 용출수로 만든 맥주라고 한다. 엠블렘에 쓰여진 말은 '맥주의 여왕'
타입은 저먼 필스너로 전체적인 풍미는 전형적인 어드정트 페일 라거에 매우 닮아있다. 알콜은 4.8%로 독일에서 이렇게 묽은 맥주 내놓으면 죵나게 욕처먹을것 같은데 용케 라인업에 올라와있다. 옥토버페스트 비어랑 비슷한 느낌이라 추억보정이라도 받았나?
